Provenance value

Herberton Mining Museum Collections, Archives and artefacts

Roger Taylor in front of his collection

Mick Henry in fron of his collection

Provenance has been preserved as much as possible by retaining significant donations as ‘collections’, as shown in the Mineral Collection, which is displayed according to donor and its use explained. For example, the Roger Taylor collection is a set of tin ores from each locality in north Queensland where tin has been mined, for geological purposes, and has been displayed as such; while the Mick Henry collection showcases minerals and examples of their uses. The Archives Collection likewise is ordered according to provenance.
